# Connect Review alerts to StoreScope Analytics

> New reviews from every store posted to a Discord or Slack channel after each sync, low ratings first.

## What it unlocks in StoreScope Analytics

- New reviews from every store posted to one channel after each sync, low ratings first.

## The access it needs

| For | Least role or permission |
|---|---|
| Posting to the channel | A channel webhook URL (Discord or Slack) |

- Only https webhook addresses on discord.com, discordapp.com or hooks.slack.com are accepted.

## Steps

1. Discord: channel settings, Integrations, Webhooks, New Webhook, Copy Webhook URL. [Discord help](https://support.discord.com/hc/en-us/articles/228383668)
2. Slack: create an app with Incoming Webhooks, add one to the channel, copy its URL. [Slack help](https://api.slack.com/messaging/webhooks)
3. A test message is posted before the webhook is saved. The first sync after it only marks where alerts start; the next ones post what is new.
4. In StoreScope Analytics, open Connections, choose Review alerts, fill in the form and save. The connection is checked live with the store first; a connection that fails the check is never saved.

## What the form asks for

- Webhook URL (required)

## After connecting

- A test message is posted before the webhook is saved. The first sync after it only marks where alerts start; the next ones post what is new.

## Errors the check can show

The exact sentence the Connections page shows (<angle brackets> are your own values), then what to do.

- "Webhook URL is required."
  Paste the channel's webhook URL.
- "That is not a URL."
  Copy the whole webhook address.
- "Paste a Discord (https://discord.com/api/webhooks/...) or Slack (https://hooks.slack.com/services/...) webhook URL."
Only Discord and Slack webhooks are accepted.
- "That is not a webhook URL: copy it again from the channel's integration settings."
The address is a channel or message link, not its webhook.
- "The webhook was refused: it was deleted or the URL is incomplete."
Create a new webhook and paste it.
- "The test message failed (<error>)."
Discord or Slack did not accept the test message. Try again in a minute.
